Jiangmen Porpoise aquarium fish project

Porpoise Aquarium Co., Ltd., established in 1996, is one of the earliest professional aquarium product manufacturers in China to register and create its own brand.

FAMSUN has constructed a new extruded aquarium fish feed factory for Porpoise Co., Ltd., with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons. The facility is designed following the hygiene zoning standards of pet food production and, upon completion, will become the largest factory dedicated to aquarium fish feed.

Conditioning & Extrusion

FAMSUN’s conditioning and extrusion technology applies high temperature, high moisture, and high-pressure conditions to the material, resulting in starch gelatinization and protein denaturation. Upon exiting the die plate, the moisture rapidly evaporates, forming porous pellets, which enhances feed palatability, improves feed conversion ratio (FCR), reduces waste, and increases feed intake.

Using a flexible coating process with either a vacuum coater or a normal pressure coater, this process meets the requirements for different oil and liquid additions, enhances oil absorption, and ensures uniform spraying to prevent color variation.

During the processing of extruded ornamental fish feed, the dried product temperature is around 60°C and needs to be cooled to room temperature using cooling equipment to facilitate storage.

The system with a sifter and a dust remover is required before the finished product packaging, which will help to reduce the powder rate in the product and remove the clumps created in the coater.
